Was The 1st DMT Trip In The Garden Of Eden?
The psychedelic drug was ingested. Here’s how the user described the experience. “First, there was a mandala-like series of visuals. Then an insect-like thing got right into my face, hovering over me as the drug was going in. This thing sucked me out of my head into outer space. It was clearly outer space, a black sky with millions of stars. Then I was in a very large waiting room. I felt observed by the insect-thing and others like it. There is a sinister backdrop, an alien insectoid side of this. It’s not a ‘we’re going to get you.’ It’s more like being possessed. During the experience there is the sense of someone or something else there taking control. It’s like you have to defend yourself against them.”
Here is another experience of a different person. “The first thing I noticed was a burning in the back of my neck. Then there was this loud intense hum. It began engulfing me. I let go into it, then WHAM. I was in an alien laboratory, a hospital bed, a sort of landing bay or recovery area. There were beings. I was being carted around. It didn’t look alien, but their sense of purpose was. They had a space ready for me. There was one main creature and he seemed to be behind it all overseeing everything. The others were like orderlies, or dis orderlies. They activated a circuit in my body and I was flushed with physical ecstasy. They were checking my instruments, testing things. I couldn’t help but think “aliens.” These beings were friendly. I had a bond with one of them. It was almost a physical bond, but not like intercourse, but a total body communication. I was filled with feelings of love for them.”
Both of these experiences were the result of ingesting the psychedelic drug DMT and are only two of many cases reported in the book DMT, The Spirit Molecule by Dr. Rick Strassman. Starting in 1990, Dr. Strassman began in-depth research into the effects of N,N-dimethyltryptamine or DMT for short. His research took place at the University of New Mexico’s School of Medicine in Albuquerque where he was an associate professor of psychiatry.
He states that he was drawn to this work because DMT is in all of our bodies. It’s produced by a mysterious, little organ buried deep in our brains called the pineal gland. Many believe that this gland is the seat of the soul, a spiritual center within us that is responsible for birth, death, near-death and other mystical experiences, including playing a role in so-called alien abductions. Dr. Strassman, who had what he describes as a decades-long relationship with Zen Buddhism, conducted the research by administering approximately 400 doses of DMT to 60 volunteers who had been carefully chosen. Each had histories of deep, personal involvement with psychedelics and New Age spiritual activities. Strassman states that his background with Zen Buddhism powerfully influenced how he conducted all of his research which concluded in 1995.
DMT is the essential ingredient in Ayahuasca, the psychedelic drug that has been used for centuries in Central America and elsewhere by shamans and others to achieve advanced states of spiritual awareness. The purpose is to gain power, knowledge and healing from supernatural beings that live outside our dimension of reality. Psychedelics have been used in ancient religions going back to the beginning of recorded history.
The great scholar and historian of religions, Mircea Eliade, concludes his classic study entitled Shamanism: Archaic Techniques of Ecstasy, with this profound insight. At the heart of so much shamanistic experience is “nostalgia for paradise” and the “search for inner light”. Today that search continues with many people, such as the well-known podcaster, Joe Rogan, using DMT and other drugs to reach what they call Transcendence. This is defined as being in a state above and beyond material existence. The desire for it comes from the deep knowledge that normal human life as we live it is not enough, that something vital is missing.
This emptiness and hunger that is in all of us points to the great tragedy of the human race. It is the attempt to fill what has been called the God-sized hole in our souls. Modern generations schooled in scientific materialism ache with this hunger. But having no place for God in their spiritual cosmology, they revert to the techniques of ancient paganism in order to fill the emptiness. Why do our brains produce tiny doses of DMT, almost as though a doorway into a spiritual world once existed within us?
The Bible in the Book of Genesis, chapters 2 and 3 tells a story that is so well known that for many people it is nothing more than a shabby cartoon. Yet it records the reality that haunts us. It says that the God who is above all created a protected dimension, a garden paradise apparently in the middle of a chaotic world. Within it he placed unique beings, a male and female that He had formed in His own image. Everyone knows the story. The serpent tempts Eve to eat forbidden fruit and paradise is lost.
As a professional storyteller, I constantly ask questions of stories. I have asked questions about the story of Adam and Eve. Why did those people choose to do what they did?
I want to be clear. I do not have a shred of direct Biblical evidence to support the story that I’m going to tell you about what I believe happened in the Garden of Eden. I present it as a possible explanation of the choices that two people made. Let’s remind ourselves of the basics. A being appears in the form of a serpent. He tempts Eve to eat what is forbidden promising her that she will become as a god, knowing both good and evil. The cartoon version of that story makes Eve look like an idiot biting into an apple. And Adam is even stupider. But does that make sense?
Let’s take a different look. Imagine that an interdimensional being in the form of a lovely serpentine creature, like the serpents that have been worshipped in a thousand cultures, appears in the garden. He invites Eve to taste a fascinating but forbidden fruit, telling her that if she does so she’ll become like a god. Eve eats the fruit and the being fulfills on his promise. She has an out-of-body experience. How could that happen? Just as it happens with DMT if the fruit that Eve ate was a powerful psychedelic. One taste would have projected her into an overwhelming realm of godlike beings filled with beauty. And in that dimension, she felt like a god herself. What might learning about good and evil have meant to godlike Eve? Did it bring transcendence and exaltation such as she had never known? Many of those who have psychedelic experiences today come back transformed. How much more so when Satan himself, as an angel of light, is your guide. Did Adam see the transformation in her? Did he see a dark knowledge deep in her eyes? What did she tell him? Clearly, she hadn’t died. That’s what God had said would happen. Knowing that eating the fruit was wrong, he did it anyway and the results were devastating.
I remind you that I don’t have a shred of direct Biblical evidence to support elements of the story that I’ve just told. But it is disturbingly consistent with the experience of the entire human race down through history. In my opinion, our hunger for transcendence points back to a seminal disastrous moment that placed us under the authority of evil beings who, in the past, presented themselves as gods demanding human worship. And now present themselves as DMT entities and alien spirit guides.
From the beginning of recorded history, psychedelic drugs have been used to meet these evil beings. Whether in a thousand forms of shamanism, the priestly worship of ancient Egypt, the collective experience of the Greek Eleusinian Mysteries, and on and on down to Joe Rogan and modern DMT psychonauts, the same dimensional doorway constantly opens that blinds us to destruction. We refuse to believe the Bible, when in 2nd Corinthians 11:14 we are warned that Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. He and the beings that serve him can manifest as love, truth, wisdom, beauty, perfection, guidance, hope, and transcendence. In other words, everything we have lost as a race and hunger to find. But behind those manifestations there is supernatural hate and rage.
Several years ago, I watched the documentary that was produced about Dr. Strassman and his experiments. In his book, Strassman states that 25 of the 60 people who were subjects in his research had DMT experiences filled with pain and fear. Yet, not a single negative case was mentioned in the documentary, probably because in his book Strassman goes out of his way to paint negative cases as ultimately positive. In his mind, they all came out fine in the end with great lessons learned from the ascended masters.
As I continued my research outside Strassman’s work, I discovered that many DMT users have had terrifying experiences. I found a most unusual case on a website called DMT-Nexus.ME. A link is in the description of this episode. The writer is clearly a very intelligent person and has taken a lot of time to lay out his entire DMT history. And he did it for one reason, to warn about the terrible danger and evil that ultimately awaits anyone who takes this drug. The writer, who is not a religious person, wants DMT users to recognize the warning signs before it is too late. I’m going to excerpt from his report.
He states that the beings that are met through DMT masquerade as something far different from what they actually are. They are the opposite of what they pretend to be and do not have any good intentions toward humans. He believes that he allowed himself to be subjected to manipulation and torment because he wasn’t sophisticated enough to understand what they were doing to him.
The whole thing began for him because he thought he could fix things in his life by entering various altered states of consciousness. Over years, this led to a deeper and deeper obsession. During his first hyperspace encounter using DMT he says it felt as though something was being “uploaded”, that’s his word, into his mind, which triggered new ideas and increased mental abilities. A kind of astral projection became much easier. I quote, “Sometimes it felt like I was being pulled into it rather than pushing myself into it. Another thing I noticed was my ability to have conversations with myself to work through problems. It felt like my internal monologue would be temporarily fractured and I would consciously control part of it and then give control over to my subconscious mind which would respond with knowledge and ideas.”
Then the real strangeness began. At a certain point he realized that the new voice wasn’t coming from his subconscious at all. I quote again, “What I was assuming was my own voice took on a new character with the overwhelming sensation of being external. The voice was immediately familiar…I suddenly realized that whatever it was I was talking to was exactly the same as whatever I had met in hyperspace.” So a being that he had met in the DMT dimension had taken residence in his brain and was having conversations with him!
The author began traveling over and over into a specific DMT world where beings presented themselves who appeared to be kind, benevolent and sometimes even angelic. They had a burning intelligence in their eyes and they were unmistakably not part of him. They began teaching lessons that felt very significant and these lessons seemed to be progressing toward something of cosmic importance. The encounters happened more and more frequently and he was made to feel that there was a vital job they wanted him to do. Over and over they told him to, “Find the others.” And there was a specific type of “others” that they had in mind.
I quote, “These entities began emphasizing their superiority and the fact that I, as their student, needed to show respect, faith, and allegiance to their cause. Which, as they presented it, was grand and incredible even going so far as to make claims of divinity. While feeling increasingly inferior and dependent on these beings I became filled with a great sense of singular importance being led to believe that I was becoming a powerful instrument of some greater cosmic authority. It all culminated in one long, elaborate and highly dramatic visionary experience that had a very attractive, but vaguely cult-like Scientology kind of feel to it. They even revered a deity of some sort.”
In his extensive statement, the author describes in detail a number of beings that he dealt with in the DMT dimension. He saw an entity that he called The High Priestess. There were mythological creatures and demigods, disembodied heads. There were Soul Surgeons that appeared to operate on his body which was filled with an evil, writhing mass. A Guide was in charge of his visions taking him deeper and deeper. He documents five stages of what can only be termed the Process of Enslavement.
Stage One – was the Setup. In it, many vague messages were given in which he was informed that life on the physical plane was meaningless and all that mattered was ascension into higher forms of consciousness.
Stage Two – On going Relationship and Guidance. In this phase, he was given new mental abilities and knowledge. He witnessed the imitation of divine qualities and saw portentous symbols. Everything around him overflowed with peace, love, unity and interconnectedness. And over all of it was a strong theme of universal religion.
Stage Three – Deeper manipulation. The beings began appealing to what he calls his base instincts. Then they would shame him about those instincts, while at the same time flattering his ego and encouraging his arrogance. Constantly, they dodged any serious question that he might ask. They inflicted unpleasant problems on him, then offered to fix them. There were elaborate good cop/bad cop performances.
Stage Four – Recruitment and Ascension. At this stage there were dramatic revelations and demands for his undying allegiance and dedication. He was initiated with an elaborate ceremony intended to turn him into a prophet or evangelist. But when his dedication did not meet their satisfaction there came
Stage Five: Punishment. This included harsh condemnation, exploitation of his personal weaknesses, the planting of fear and insecurity and dark warnings of inevitable doom. They told him that they would be with him forever. They made vile threats to possess and harm his loved ones. He was tormented with psychological abuse and even violent attacks. He states that they sucked the last bit of dark entertainment and energy from him as long as they could. Their ultimate joy was in his agony.
And above it all on two occasions he encountered a being that he calls The Source. The experience was utterly mind-blowing. This entity appeared to be incredibly vast, blindingly brilliant and pulsating with life-giving energy. The author states that to be in its presence was to see the beginning and the end of everything, where all things come from and to which all things will return. The Source presented itself as conscious, omniscient and omnipotent, forever unchanging and existing in the eternal now. It presented itself as God. But in the middle of this overwhelming display, something bothered him about all of it. Somehow he knew that in spite of the magnificent presentation, the being was an impostor. Afterward, those entities who were guiding him tried to use the stunning experience of The Source to demand his trust and allegiance. It didn’t work.
He started to have serious questions. And this they did not appreciate. It led to increasingly confrontational and unpleasant experiences. Finally, they dropped all pretense. Then began a long period of harsh punishment as their façade crumbled. In the author’s words what lay behind everything was hideous, repulsive, relentlessly manipulative and not nearly as omnipotent as they pretended to be. How did all of it conclude? I quote again.
“Seeing through their illusions has robbed them of much of their influence over me, but they are still always there waiting to attack me when I’m at my most weak and distracted. In all of my encounters with these entities very little if any of their true nature was evident based on what they allowed me to see. I met all kinds of incredible beings consistent with the descriptions typically found in DMT trip reports. They presented themselves as kind, beautiful and awe inspiring and on a level of apparent sophistication ranging from ascended extraterrestrial intelligence to near divinity. They taught me all kinds of wonderful things including things that genuinely did improve my life and gave me a glimpse into the vast mysteries of the universe. But everything they pretended to be was a thin veneer pasted over the malevolent ugliness underneath and everything they taught me was a lie surrounded by just enough truth to make it easy to swallow.” The report is long and all of it is a desperately serious warning.
What was the reality that this individual encountered? A world of interdimensional evil populated by powerful beings under the control of one who presented himself as god. The Source in this person’s experience is the same being that made a similar godlike appearance to Dr Eben Alexander in his near-death vision. In that lovely manifestation the false god called himself Om. We talked about that in episode 19 of this series.
So what is the core pattern at the heart of DMT? Supernatural Evil can present itself as transcendent beauty and light giving breathtaking experiences filled with what appears to be spiritual illumination. Human influencers such as Joe Rogan, Graham Hancock, Eben Alexander and others get the VIP tour because they will lead millions into the trap. This tactical pattern is ancient. It was established in the Garden of Eden. The Source is Satan and he is a dark lord of war.
The Bible tells us about an invisible war that has been going on for eons. The ultimate turning point in that war was when the Son of God, Jesus Christ, left the dimension of Heaven to become one of us, to buy us out of slavery to Satan and his horde. By His death Jesus paid the price for your sin and mine and made a way for us to be free. By His resurrection from the dead and entry back into Heaven as the God Man, He established His authority as King of Kings and Lord of Lords over every dimension of reality from the angels of Heaven to the demons of DMT and the entire human race in between. He is coming back to reign and every person who has ever lived will answer to Him. That includes you.
My friend, are you searching for transcendence? This can be the moment for your spiritual liberation from a world of Satanic darkness into the world of God’s Heavenly Light. Why did Jesus die for you? Because He loves you more than you could ever imagine and He doesn’t want to see you go to hell. What a gift that is. Pray to Him. Ask Him to forgive your sins. Make Him Lord of your life and He will make you a citizen in His Kingdom of Heaven. All it takes is the faith and prayer of child. That is the beginning of eternal life.
I want to leave you with a story. A number of years ago, a man wrote to me. He had read things that I had written about DMT. He told me that his son, who is a Christian, had taken DMT. Why he had done this I do not know. But when the young man entered the hyperspace dimension, the beings there stared at him and said, “Why are you here? You are a Christian.” And proceeded to beat him within an inch of his life. He didn’t take DMT again. Right now, the evil beings of that reality know exactly who you are. The question is, will you belong to them or to Jesus, the King, who loves you. There is no middle ground.
