The terror that comes in the night.

The man’s story appeared on Vice.com and was titled “How I learned to live with sleep paralysis and the terror that comes with it.” His name is Geoffrey, no last name is given. These are his words: “Sleep paralysis always rears its head right as I’m about to doze off. I just lie there feeling paralyzed and as if some dark and blurry presence is hovering slowly above me. The shadow floats about and inexorably draws itself closer and closer to my body until I manage to shut my eyes. I sweat profusely but there’s also an inexplicable air of coolness that has nothing to do with the actual temperature. For me, the “intruder” manifests itself as a feminine presence, some sort of “dark lady,” but there’s been a handful of times when I’ve perceived it as a masculine energy, too. It’s like clockwork: I hear a strange sound and then she arrives. Her shadow begins to gradually increase in size, quite slowly at the beginning, then violently. The shape sits on my chest and refuses to remove itself until I feel completely numb. Several minutes later, I somehow externalize my fear and inexplicably regain my ability to move.” This is the terror that comes in the night.
For Geoffrey, the attacks began when he was a little child and grew to monstrous proportions when he was a teenager. They continue to the present day. How does he deal with them? Once again, these are his words. “These days, I try to look at the dark shape and communicate with it—I even get aggressive sometimes and start to insult it. I used to need a while to gather my wits so I could fall back asleep again, but now I just wait for the manifestation to disappear and then immediately drift off.” Geoffrey believes that these visitations have had a deep impact on his life and personality. Horrifying night manifestations in various forms, which often include physical abuse, have been going on for a long time terrorizing people over many centuries and through every culture of the world.
Sociologist David J. Hufford wrote an important book on this phenomena entitled, The Terror that Comes in the Night, subtitle: An Experience-Centered Study of Supernatural Assault Traditions. According to Hufford’s research about a sixth of the population experience very real, terrifying night visitations, yet almost no one talks about them. What happens during these experiences? A hideous being or beings that can take different forms, enter people’s bedrooms paralyzing them and often doing vile things to them. According to Hufford’s research, millions of people suffer through this living nightmare. Dr. Hufford did his study while teaching at two different universities, one in Canada and the other in Southwestern United States. The people in each city had no contact with each other, yet all described very similar experiences. In centuries past, many told of being attacked by a terrifying female succubus traditionally known as the Old Hag. In recent years, the beings often manifest as gray aliens. It is fascinating to me that the UFO community, so passionate about sightings in the sky and what governments may know about so-called alien visitation has little interest in these shattering experiences. Why? Because they point straight to a different reality than they have religiously accepted. Instead of visitors from outer space, these phenomena reveal an ancient interdimensional evil that has been attacking us for eons and now manifests to meet the expectations of a science fiction addicted culture. Psychologists and psychiatrists have struggled to come up with a physical explanation for night terrors, but they offer no hope to victims other than drugs.

30 years ago, the Roper research organization conducted a famous poll. The results showed that at least two percent of the adult population have experienced what they described as being abducted, taken from their homes by evil entities to experience abuse. In addition to abduction, when respondents were asked if they had ever awakened paralyzed with a sense of a frightening presence in the room, 18 per cent said yes. There is no reason to believe that these percentages have decreased, so almost 56 million people are experiencing night terrors and 6 million believe that they are being abducted.
So a question: Is there no way to stop these attacks? Let me share an eye-witness account from a young mother. “In 1973 my husband and I and our two baby boys lived in Virginia. One night I woke up instantaneously. My eyes flew open. I was totally awake with the sense that something was very wrong. That sense moved very quickly to terror. I was paralyzed, unable to move anything except my eyes and there was a gray haze in the air. To my left, over my husband’s sleeping body, I could see three figures gliding into the room. Their feet, which I couldn’t see because a monk-like robe covered them, never touched the ground. They were coming out of the walk-in closet and my first thought was, how did they get into the closet? It was communicated to me in some fashion, I don’t know how, that they had come in through the large second-story window in the nursery where our little boys were sleeping. I knew they were very, very angry with me, but I didn’t know why. They communicated to me without speaking, that they were going to levitate my stiff body, slam me through the window above our bed and drop me from our second floor bedroom onto my head killing me. They wanted me to know that my husband would be blamed for my death. I had no doubt that they were capable of doing this and my terror escalated. I tried to scream at my husband to wake up, but I couldn’t. My vocal cords were paralyzed. Then I began to pray. I tried to call out, “JESUS.” Again nothing would come out of my mouth other than grunts. Once more I tried to say “JESUS.” More grunts. Finally, a garbled “Jesus” came out. At the name of Jesus, the beings dissolved into tiny triangles and vanished into the air. I immediately woke my husband and told him what had happened. After comforting me, the inevitable question came. “Are you sure it wasn’t just a bad dream?” Irritated, I replied, “Yes, I’m sure. Because if it was a bad dream I’m still dreaming. I awoke before it began and I have not awakened since. Besides, I just KNOW it was real.”
How do I know that this eye-witness account is true? The young mother is my wife, Carel, and I was the one lying next to her asleep on the bed. We have now been married over 59 years. All those years ago, neither of us knew what to do with this experience so we filed it away and didn’t talk about it. Twenty years later I was writing a pilot for a television series that was supposed to be about strange phenomena. I gave Carel a book on alien abduction and asked her to read it and see if there might be any story ideas in it that I could use. This was her response: “As I read the book it struck me how similar these people’s experiences were to mine. Then I came across a drawing of one person’s alien abductor. It was eerie. He had drawn the same beings that had come into my room. As I began to form my own opinion about my night terror, I went to the Internet to see if anyone else had a similar experience. Was I the only person who had used the name of “Jesus” to end such a confrontation or alien abduction? I found an article from Florida Today magazine. It quoted a man named Joe Jordan, a director for the Mutual UFO Network, a clearinghouse for UFO related research. He and his partner Wes Clark, also a member of MUFON, had come across many people who had been able to stop their abduction experience by calling on the name of Jesus.” The article that Carel found quoted a recorded interview that Jordan had conducted with one such person. Here it is, as it was written, in Florida Today:
Jordan punches buttons on a tape recorder. A nameless, 30-something man with an intelligent-sounding voice, slightly Southern, tells his story. Calmly at first. ‘There were strange lights in a nearby woods at bedtime, barking dogs.’ The man says he got up a few times; yelling at the dogs while his wife slept soundly. Then, lying down again, this is what he describes: ‘I couldn’t move. I was in a grey fog. I couldn’t see anything, but it was like someone was here.’ He felt himself being lifted off the bed. ‘I was terrified, so helpless… screaming inside, but I couldn’t get it out. I thought I was having a satanic experience, that the devil had gotten hold of me and had shoved a pole up my rectum and was holding me up in the air…so helpless. I couldn’t do anything.’ Being a non-religious person, he’d been to church with his wife a few times. ‘I said, ‘Jesus, Jesus, help me, and when I did, there was a feeling or a sound or something, that either my words that I had thought or words that I had tried to say, hurt whatever was holding me up in the air on this pole. It was withdrawn and I fell. It was like I was thrown back in the bed. My wife woke up and asked why I was jumping on the bed?’

Jordan told the author of the Florida Today article that three other researchers had had similar cases. None had revealed them because they felt it would hurt their credibility in the UFO community. In spite of the fact that abduction assaults are described as horrible, brutal and denigrating, many in that community believe they are performed by “good aliens” and are somehow beneficial to humankind. People like Dr. Steven Greer want us to invite them into our lives because they have so much to teach us. Yeah, they do. They want to teach all the horror, evil and death that enslaved our ancient ancestors. And don’t be impressed with their technology. The interdimensional factories of hell are very sophisticated.
The unwillingness of many in the UFO community to accept the truth is astounding. Our younger son was taking a language class at a local college. The class had nothing to do with alien abduction. Strangely, one day, the teacher began asking the class whether anyone had had such an experience. A girl raised her hand and began to tell the class about her frightening abduction. When she had finished, my son said to her, ‘There is a way to stop these experiences if you want to.’ The teacher interrupted, ‘No, there is no way to stop them!’ ‘Yes!’ my son replied, ‘They can be stopped.’ ‘No they cannot. We have to get back to our subject.’ Our son’s teacher was dead wrong.
Joe Jordan now has a website, Alienresistance.org and Carel’s full statement is on it. I want to share two other experiences from that site. The first is from a woman named Lindsey and I quote: “It began five years ago with strange things happening in my house. I had been involved with Tarot on a high level and ALWAYS could predict events for people. I look back in sadness. Anyway, the point is I didn’t believe in anything really. Flashlights would fall off the table, my dog would growl at nothing, I had bad dreams. Things were scary. Then one night it all came down on me. I “awoke” in bed without being able to move at all, not even an eyebrow. Some “thing” was in my room with me. It disguised itself as a little girl. I was so scared because I was paralyzed, but when I realized a little girl was in my room I relaxed for some reason. Then it began to come toward me, which made me a little nervous….At the VERY LAST moment I heard the faintest words in my mind “It just wants you to think it’s a little girl” and RIGHT then the thing jumped at my chest, but not before I screamed in my mind, “Jesus help me, God help me!” And the “thing” was thrown back in utterly agonizing pain and the sound it made was as close to hell as any human ears could ever hear. So, I found some very devoted Christians and I still didn’t believe it was a demon. They explained to me and I was so terrified….but I began to believe, I asked Jesus into my life and heart and ONLY THEN did my terror subside, in fact, I felt better than I ever thought possible. My faith had arrived.”
Now an account from a man named, Jason: “I was asleep in my basement bedroom when I woke up suddenly and noticed 3 beings standing at the foot of the bed. I was completely paralyzed and overcome with terror and immediately sensed that these beings were evil. It was very dark in the room but I could see that they were wearing hooded robes, gold necklaces, and had reptilian skin and large black eyes. They floated around to the side of the bed. I sensed that the one in the middle was their leader. He reached down and grabbed my arms with his hands and lifted me out of bed. I felt almost completely weightless like a helium balloon. When I was in a standing position, but not touching the floor, his mouth opened wide and he breathed a furnace-hot blast of sulfur-smelling air in my face. Then we began to rotate and sink headfirst in the floor. I thought they were taking me to hell and I said, ‘I rebuke you in the name of Jesus’, and instantly I was back in my bed, my heart was pounding out of my chest and I was soaked with sweat. For a long time it didn’t cross my mind that I had experienced a classic “alien” abduction until I saw some other people’s stories that mirrored mine.”

These accounts and many more are found at alienresistance.org. I hope you understand the importance of what you have just heard? If calling on the Name of Jesus Christ is so powerful that it can stop a night terror and an abduction, that begins to define both who Jesus is and the nature of the evil that is attacking us. Who are these beings really and where do they come from? We’re going to talk much more about that in the future. But I need to tell you one thing. Jesus’ Name is not some magic word to get you out of trouble. It is a call for God to fight for you. God is at war and Jesus Christ, His Son, is the leader of the army. Why is He fighting this war? Because He loves all of us so much. Jesus loves you so much that He died a terrible death on a Roman cross to pay the price for\ your sins. It is sin that makes these evil beings know that humans belong to them. And you do belong to them unless you choose otherwise. Jesus died so you don’t have to be their slave anymore. Instead, you can be a child of the King and a warrior of the spirit. But to be freed from the enslavement of evil you have to humble yourself and ask for God’s forgiveness based on the fact that Jesus shed his blood to save you. You have to stop doing the things you know are wrong. Now this is often a real battle. To win it, you have to give up control of your life and ask Jesus to be Lord of everything. Then His power will enter you and evil beings will not be able to stand against it. All it takes is the simple prayer of a child to become His child. But I have to tell you that these vile entities don’t give up control of their territory easily. Sometimes there is an extended conflict. It’s time to turn away from the lies of darkness, which include the fantasy obsessions of the UFO community. Jesus is fighting for you and will fight with you, so if you want it, victory is assured. The vast, unseen war is growing far more intense. My friend, we need you strong in the battle, not a frightened victim lying in your bed. If I can be of help, write to me.
